The Building Bridges initiative is designed to build connections, promote mentorship, and foster community engagement with the goal to inspire the next generation of Albanian-Americans as they explore their education and career choices.
The program currently offers:
1) Roundtable Discussions and Lectures - Spotlighting Albanian-American professionals in fields such as medicine, finance, legal, engineering, law enforcement and teaching, offers students the opportunity for questions, networking and exploration. The initiative bridges the gap between Albanian American professionals and the students aspiring to follow in their footsteps.
2) Mentorship Program - College-aged students offer support and guidance to high school students as they navigate the college decision process, from help with decisions about majors to assistance with applications, the college students offer their experience, from which the high school students then benefit.
3) College Prep Workshops - Experts in educational administration offer guidance to our high school community members on applying to schools, providing them with the tools to succeed.
The Building Bridges initiatives foster connection between and within the generations of our community. Together we provide access, opportunity and inspiration to our younger members as they explore their life decisions.

From the Heart is a program that promotes cultural pride and wellbringing through storytelling. This initiative brings together college students and immigrant elders to preserve stories of resilience, migration, and cultural heritage. By providing a culturally sensitive, community-based and nurturant environment for emotional expression, we aim to strengthen pride, foster belonging, and thus enhance the well-being of our community. The program will pair members of the elderly population with high school/college students, in conversation, about their personal migration experiences. These conversations will be captured on video, creating a living archive to share with the community and beyond.
